Problem with citing a reference multiple times

0

It quite often when you right a manuscript cite a specific reference multiple times , but now when I want to cite the same reference for the second time everything goes wrong, for example: first time, (X et al, 2018) but the second time it goes like that (X and y and D 2018) names of all co-authors come along. What is wrong with EndNote X9? Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance,
