How do I disable the mouse scroll wheel in Ubuntu 18.10

I have an air mouse which for some reason feeds mouse scroll data back to my Ubuntu 18.10 install. As a result if I happen to move the mouse over the application launcher, the current window is scrolled away. It also causes other problems from time to time, especially in my web browser. Therefore I'd like to disable it, but there's no option visible in Settings > Devices. So how do I disable it?
