How to run a shell script automatically after startup and wake-up from hibernate?

0

Basically it is a shell script about multi-monitor layout. And I have tried add the line:sh <path_to_my_script>/layout.sh in /etc/rc.local, but it didn't work for me. I am using Ubuntu 16.04 and desktop environment is gnome.
