USB size decreased [duplicate]

Why will Ubuntu no longer measure file size unit as byte, megabyte, gigabyte, etc?

What file size units do applications on Ubuntu use?

I made a bootable USB with Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS on my 16GB pendrive. And before installing Ubuntu I used the Try Ubuntu option. After trying Ubuntu I took the pendrive out and forced shut the laptop. Then I booted back to my Windows 7 and reinserted my pendrive to find out that it had only 2mb space. On looking it up I was able to get back most of my space (14.5 GB) by first clearing the disk and then using disk management. But my remaining 1.5 GB is still lost and sadly is nowhere to be found.
P.S. The Ubuntu installation file was also this big (1.5 GB). And I think it might have got stored in some partition. In disk manager I don't have any partitions in disk 1(USB) but I do have a partition in disk 0(my hard drive) labelled System_Drv also this big.
