Spring data with Cassandra @Query looking for native table name instead of entity name
I'm creating a Spring data repository with Cassandra. I have to use @Query
to get some custom result with CQL in place of findBy
methods.
I'm getting an exception that the table name is not configured, it seems like @Query
is using actual name instead of using entity name when making a call to Cassandra.
Here's what my setup looks like
@Table("book")
public class BookEntity {
...
}
import java.util.List;
import org.baeldung.spring.data.cassandra.model.BookEntity;
import org.springframework.data.cassandra.repository.CassandraRepository;
import org.springframework.data.cassandra.repository.Query;
import org.springframework.data.repository.query.Param;
import org.springframework.stereotype.Repository;
@Repository
public interface BookRepository extends CassandraRepository<BookEntity> {
@Query("select b.isbn from BookEntity where and publisher=:publisher", allowFiltering = true)
List<String> findIdsWithPublisher(@Param("publisher") String publisher);
}
When I call method findIdsWithPublisher()
I get an exception that bookentity
is not configured. Another indication that it's not using entity name or entity attribute names is that when I use an alias in the query like from BookEntity b where b.publisher = ...
or any column name that is different in entity from it's native name for example updatedDate (native updt_date)
, it throws exceptions like no viable alternative found for
and so on.
Does @Query
take native queries only or I'm doing something wrong?
Any hint is appreciated.
