Suppressing page number for a floating figure?
I have a figure which takes up most of a page, and once I add a caption there's not much space for the page number. I don't want to reduce the size of the figure; I do want it to be its current size. The trouble is that thispagestyle{empty}
doesn't seem to work for floating figures: I can remove page numbers for pages containing text before and after the figure, but not for the page containing the figure itself. How do I force an empty page number on the page of the figure?
