how to filter letter treeview in python3.6
I have a python tkinter application that contains a ttk.treeview widget.
The widget displays a list of items found on a specific table from mysql database. i'm trying use filter to view specific data on keypress at the entry box search.
def update_filter(*args):
global items, tree, search
items = [self.cursor.execute("""SELECT [column name] FROM [table name]""")]
filtr = self.txtsearch.get().lower()
self.treeview.delete(*(self.tree).get_children())
for i in items:
if filtr in str(items[i][0]).lower() or filtr in str(items[i][1]).lower():
self.treeview.insert('', 'end', iid=str(i), text=items[i][0], values=(items[i][1],))
self.treeview.update()
self.tree.update()
self.search.trace('w', update_filter)
self.txtsearch.focus_set()
Error shows:
if filtr in str(items[i][0]).lower() or filtr in str(items[i][1]).lower():
IndexError: list index out of range
Thank you.
