I am going to insert various figure by using subcaption but when i use usepackage{subfig} or usepackage{subcaption} the program doesn't run and give an error like subfig.sty not found. Please help me what to do.

  • If you know how to load packages (like using MikTeX console), make sure subcaption and subfig are in fact loaded. OTOH, I believe they are incompatible.

Yes, they are incompatible, you cannot load both, but this does not seem to be the issue here. If you cannot load subcaption and you get the error subcaption.sty not found, you need to install the subcaption package first. How? This is dependent on the TeX distribution you use. Which TeX distribution are you using?
