Wired Connection DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_BAD_CONFIG error on Ubuntu 16.04

I have a Dlink DIR-113 device which acts as a repeater / bridge. It is connected to the main router (D-Link DSL-2750U) via an ethernet cable. When I connect one end of ethernet cable to this repeater and the other end to the PC, it gives the DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_BAD_CONFIG error while trying to access any website.

Tests : (On the repeater)

  1. Dual boot laptop

    • (Ubuntu 18.04) : Both wired and wireless works.

    • (Windows 10) : Both wired and wireless works.

  2. Dual boot PC :

    • PC (Ubuntu 16.04) : Wired not working. (can't test wireless).

    • PC (Windows 8.1) : Wired works.

  3. iPhone SE : Wireless works.

Is this an OS specific issue?

Tried:

$ sudo service network-manager restart

Did not solve the issue.
