How get data from modbus tcp using R

0

I am looking for a way to get data from a device whose protocol is modbus over TCP. I establish the connection, but I do not know which command and parmeters to send into request to obtain for example the value of 16bits that is in address 100? Is there a library or similar to do this using R?

> con<- socketConnection ("xx.xx.x.xx", port = 502) #ip omitted
> con
A connection with
description "->xx.xx.x.xx:502"
class "sockconn"
mode "a+"
text "text"
opened "opened"
can read "yes"
can write "yes"
