Bluetooth can't seek devices

1

No devices are found with bluetooth, all appropriate software are installed (blueman, bluez, pulse bluetooth module), so I'm not missing anything on that front.

However I do think the problem is with the fact that bluetooth-discover fails to initialise (pactl load-module module-bluetooth-discover Failure: Module initialisation failed).
I've been on many forums, all of them suggested to edit default.pa or audio.conf, which did nothing. I'm happy to provide any info people needs to help me solve this issue.

  • I have the same problem: sudo apt-get install pulseaudio-module-bluetooth pulseaudio-module-bluetooth is already the newest version (1:12.2-0ubuntu4). pactl load-module module-bluetooth-discover Failure: Module initialisation failed
