I have a serious problem with getting the original layout of Ubuntu 18.04
after trying the mint cinnamon "over bionic beaver", which actually broke my Ubuntu 18.04 I reverted from lightdm to dgm3 which I hopped to get me to the original state of Ubuntu 18.04. Totally not the case:

  1. My touchpad selection, i.e. one tap, double tap selecting/opening files no longer works, I have to use keyboard's "ENTER" open files, and depress the touchpad to select or perform double click. The cursor mobility is proper though.

  2. The original layout and functionality of the interface was very good, especially in comparison to the left hand window closing/maximazing/minimizing feature.
