Accessing the android test resources from the android test app

I am looking for a way to accessing the contents of strings.xml in my app/src/androidTest/res/values folder from the test app.
I know it is possible via the following call.
String url = InstrumentationRegistry.getContext().getString(com.company.app.test.R.string.test_url);
Is there some better way to call it rather than specifying the package name ?
