Converting *.docx files to *.pdf on Oracle 11g
is there a way to convert Word-documents to PDF files on the database itself (PL/SQL)? I can't seem to find any info on this subject online.

No idea, sorry. Why would you want to do that? How is a DBMS involved into converting Word files to PDF ones?

Why the downvote? Some companies program on the database in procedures.. It's not the best way or my prefered way but it is what it is!

Not sure but I think Apache POI is your best bet - poi.apache.org - but it won't be a simple solution.
