Is it possible to export an ec2 image?
I have an EC2 image which I want to export to specific file format and keep the copy of the image locally?
Is it possible to export an image and import it later on for using with EC2.
I know that there is a facility of AWS VM Import/Export but it says in the documentation as follows:

Please provide any possible solution/way to export an EC2 image.

VM Import/Export seems to be the only way. You could try building your image from scratch in something like Packer as an alternative.
