Apache2 Access-Control-Allow-Origin not loaded properly

0

I'm trying to do cross domain xmlhttprequests in javascript, and have my script running in apache2.

I set up a VirtualHost, and inside the host config enabled .htaccess by adding:

<Directory /var/www/my-domain.com/>
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks
AllowOverride All
Require all granted
</Directory>

Furthermore, I created a .htaccess file under /var/www/my-domain.com/ with the contents:

<IfModule mod_headers.c>
Header set Access-Control-Allow-Origin "https://github.com/simernes/server-coordinator/tree/master/src/"
Header set Access-Control-Allow-Credentials true
</IfModule>

The headers module is verified to be loaded, and I have definitely restarted the apache2 service.

Still I get the error when I try to run my script:

Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at https://github.com/simernes/server-coordinator/tree/master/src/. (Reason: CORS header ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ missing)

So to me it seems the CORS headers aren't found for some reason. Is there anything else that I may have missed? I tried to set the Header directly in the my-domain.com.conf but that did not work either.
