Lubuntu 16.04 LTS stuck on splash screen after kernel update[SOLVED]

I decided to test Btrfs so I installed Lubuntu using it. Everything went fine until I updated the kernel from 4.08 to 4.15.
After that, the system simply won't boot. I get past the grub menu, but after that, the machine freezes at the splash screen.
I tried using boot repair to recover it, but it changed nothing.
Here's the pastebin from boot repair http://paste.ubuntu.com/p/vJKS2pprbh/
Any ideas?
grub2 lubuntu btrfs

Can you still boot into your old 4.08 kernel?

@rickhg12hs I managed to solve it. I don't know why but upon installing Linux 4.15 Ubuntu downloaded Linux 4.15 low latency and set it as default on grub bootloader, wghich by the way doesn't boot at all, but still I could boot on other kernel versions, including Linux 4.15 generic, so I did it and edited grub.cfg manually, so as to remove the bad entries

Well, at least you figured out how to get it working again.
