We use Jenkins (latest LTS build 2.138.3) for building documentation. Users want to directly read the resulting WebHelp output from within the workspace of their Jenkins jobs. The generated WebHelp requires JavaScript, but it looks as if JavaScript is disabled when directly viewing the WebHelp from within the workspace (i.e. in the workspace following the links to the index.html page).

As a workaround I created a directory alias on the local web server that allows users to view the workspace outside Jenkins. This works, but I want to restrict access to those users registered in Jenkins.

I found no mentioning of enabling JavaScript in the Jenkins documentation, or in the Jenkins configuration file or elsewhere. Does anybody have a hint?

Thanks!
