USB flash drive strange behaviour

0

I'm running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS on an Acer Iconia W700 with perfect compatibility except when using a USB stick. This is automatically recognized (and fully functional) under Windows and MacOS, but is not seen by Ubuntu.

If I format it in NTFS / FAT32 / ExFat, Ubuntu doesn't see it. I've tried the Disks utility, GParted, fdisk with no result. If I format it in HFS+, Ubuntu sees and mounts just the EFI partition.

Do you have any suggestions?
