[SOLVED} Videos (Totem) in Ubuntu 18.04 always launches maxmimized. How to prevent that?

1

Newly installed 18.04. I was able to change system settings so most all applications launch not maxmimized, but Videos (Totem) always is maxmimized.

How to prevent Totam from automatically maximinzing? It seems to disregard settings used to all other applications.

Thanks.

  • Sorry, user error. I had restored from backup after a crash, and somehow all files and directories under ~/.config got owned by root. Once I changed ownership to me, everything worked.
