including .eps with Texmaker
I know this question appears on a lot of pages already, however the common answers don't solve my problem.
When I try to include .eps
-files into my document I get the all known error:
! LaTeX Error: Unknown graphics extension: .eps.See the LaTeX manual or LaTeX Companion for explanation.Type H for immediate help.... ...graphics{pics/file.eps}
This is a common error when using usepackage{graphicx}
and the solution should be to use usepackage{epstopdf}
right with it.
However i still get an error :(.
I'm using the newest versions of MikTex and Texmaker. I'd appreciate any suggestions! :)

You may have to includegraphicspath{{pics}}
in your preamble.

In addition to the @Werner suggestion, be aware to compile withlatex
insteadpdflatex
for use.eps
files, otherwise the error remains.

@Aradnix: with modern compilers, this conversion should be automatic (hence the OP's question).

Remove the extension .eps.
