How do I turn off LDAP authentification to log in to my laptop?
An admin installed and setup Ubuntu on my machine. Just on my laptop he set it up like this:
When I login to my laptop, Ubuntu connects to the LDAP-Server to check my username and password. If they are incorrect it tries the local username and password on my machine and logs me in (I always use the local username and password).
Now the admin has left the company and I have this problem: Everytime I want to login to my laptop while I'm not in the company network I have to wait a minute until LDAP has a network timeout, then I'm logged in. How do I turn this off, so it doesn't connect to LDAP but immediately uses my local username and password?
I can't deinstall ldap because I need it to connect to servers with ssh (using 'kinit' first).
I have have full root rights but I don't know how to turn this off.
login .desktop ldap
