All video streaming glitches/freezes/skips in Ubuntu 18.04
On Chromium and Firefox, Youtube, Netflix, any video streaming will start to skip or freeze after 20 or 30 minutes of playing. Restarting helps temporarily.
I'm using MSI GeForce GT 710 Passive Silent 2 GB Graphics Card and have tried with these drivers;
NVIDIA driver metapackage from nvidia-driver-390 (proprietary, tested)
and
X.Org X server -- Nouveau display driver from xserver-xorg-video-nouveau (open source)
the problem persists with both of them.
in Chromium the audio might play fine while the video skips
in Firefox both will skip/freeze
this was also happening in the previous version of Ubuntu
media files on my PC will play flawlessly in VLC
i only have one 28 inch monitor
somebody please help me!
