Infinite scroll using angular virtual scroll
I'm trying to implement both an Infinite scroll and a virtual scroll using Angular CDK virtual scroll.
I've created an implementation that works but there are several things about it that I dislike and would like to improve:
The way I figure out that an item is in view - I created a dummy method called
itemRenderedand am rendering it in the HTML - and based on that I refresh the list.
Is there an event I can use that is more predictable?I use
setTimeoutin theitemRenderedevent since it was the only way I could get it to work. I've triedngZoneand failed.
Here's the code:
app.component.html:
<cdk-virtual-scroll-viewport [itemSize]="30" class="wrapper">
<div *cdkVirtualFor="let item of items" class="item">
{{item}} {{itemRendered(item)}}
</div>
</cdk-virtual-scroll-viewport>
app.component.ts
export class AppComponent implements OnInit {
items = ;
lastItem = 0;
addMoreItems() {
let y = ;
y.push(...this.items);
for (let index = 0; index < 50; index++) {
y.push(this.lastItem++);
}
this.items = y;
}
ngOnInit() {
this.addMoreItems();
}
lastRefreshItems = -1;
itemRendered(item: number) {
var y = this.items.indexOf(item);
if (y == this.items.length - 1) {
if (y == this.lastRefreshItems)
return;
this.lastRefreshItems = y;
console.log('want refresh');
setTimeout(() => {
console.log('refresh');
this.addMoreItems();
}, 100);
}
}
