Ubuntu Print Server - Keep needing to disconnect/reconnect USB Printer
I am trying to use an old Advent 32bit netbook running Ubuntu 16.04 as a print server with a Brother LASER printer.
The Windows 10 computer finds the printer using Bonjour, connects and installs fine and the test page prints fine too. However, after a few minutes, connection is no longer possible and so printing cannot take place.
I can fix the issue temporarily by unplugging the printer USB cable from the server and then replacing it but the same problem happens again.
Is there anything I can do to get the USB connection to keep refreshing without the unplugging/replacing?
