Chronyc doesn't show as unsynced when manually changing time
Chronyc appears to be functioning normally (for the most part). I have added makestep 1 -1 to the config to allow large deltas, and minpoll 6 to checking every 64 seconds.
Chronyc will sync the time when starting up, but if I manually change the time, there is no indication from chronyc tracking that the time is off (assuming these queries are run every time and not using cached info). System time will report 0.00000 seconds fast of NTP time. The command chronyc sources however will indicate that the it has been 10 years from the previous check-in (LastRx). The reason I need this is to check before certain actions that the clock is actually synced, and to prompt a manual update if not. I would also like to check on a 30 second interval that the time is still in sync (and that some problem didn't cause it to unsync). The command timedatectl status shows NTP Synchronized: No, but I am not sure how this message is derived and/or related to chronyc. I think of NTP and chronyc as separate, but could chronyc as using NTP. Also I would like the tolerance measure given by chrony tracking.
It is not until I reset chronyc (or wait for a variable amount of time > 2-3 minutes) that everything gets synced up again. Not even a manual makestep seems to work right away.
