Trying to replace Windows Vista with Ubuntu 14.04.05

I have created the USB drive from the Ubuntu download ISO using Pendrivelinux. When I try to boot from the USB I get the message that configuration file is not found and the boot stalls. What have I done wrong?

Hi! Welcome to askubuntu.com! You are trying to install 4 years old version of ubuntu. The latest version with long term support is 18.04. It is possible that the ISO you downloaded was corrupted. It is also possible, your USB drive is damaged. Have you tried to repeat the process?

Possible duplicate of SYSLINUX: No DEFAULT or UI configuration directive found! Or are you getting a different error message?

Thanks but all of them have the same problem. 14.04.5, 16.04.5 and 18.04.1. Configuration file not found on any of them. My computer is an old laptop that was running Vista 32 bit. So I tried to install a compatible Ubuntu version

Boot USB drives and Boot DVDs are all missing Configuration Files for all of the Ubuntu versions. Where do I get the configuration file from so I can do a BIOS boot?
