Jasper server is not accepting comma Separated list of values like what Jasper studio does

I am trying to build a report that uses a list of values in its query.
ex: select * from students where sid in (student_id_list);
When I use Jasper Studio its taking comma separated values as input and giving me report successfully:
But when I am trying to deploy the same in Jasper Server it's not working.
Jasper Server is expecting multi-select values(If I define the parameter as Collection).
I don't have any pre-defined values for creating selection based list. (multi-select) i.e. I can't display all the sID's in the selection list. Please suggest me what I need to do in order to take a list of values as input in Jasper Server.
