I am new to NetBeans. I have a client/server setup and would like to have two run configurations (one for client and one for server). I am having a hard time finding resources on how to achieve this.
c++ netbeans ide run-configuration

I did not down vote your question, but there are a couple of obvious issues with it: [1] You are expected to show some research effort in your question, and as it stands there is none. [2] A directly related issue is that your question is too broad because of that.

Possible duplicate of NetBeans and Eclipse-like “run configurations”.

Thanks, I did see that solution prior to asking, but the 'New' option doesn't show up anywhere in the run configurations.

You can do Run > Set Project Configuration > Customize... > Add..., or am I misunderstanding your point?
