how will I overcome this error

. That's the only advice we can give you without further information. Can you please post the offending code here (including a minimal preamble so that it becomes compilable, see MWE). Also please compile once withlistfiles
in your preamble and post the additional output (should be starting with*File List*
and end with***********
).

If you are using a template that ships with any version oflistings
, do not use the whole template. It is obsolete.
