First : Please use the Oct 2014 updated ns-allinone-2.35_gcc482.tar.gz
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7S255p3kFXNSGJCZ2YzUGJDVk0/view?usp=sharing I.e. the old year 2011 ns-allinone-2.35.tar.gz is for g++-4.4 .
The Ubuntu g++-6 isn't working with ns2. Please do: $ sudo apt install g++-4.9
(We have also occasionally seen issues with the Ubuntu g++-5.)
And then use this build command: $ export CC=gcc-4.9 CXX=g++-4.9 && ./install
