Dictionary template application with Unicode support

I’m looking for a dictionary template that provides features such as add/update/delete an entry. An entry (a word and its associated meaning/s) is all Unicode and if there exists a template (preferably offline) to use or customize. I am on Ubuntu and saw a number of templates (kdictionary, Artha, GoldenDict etc) but I didn't come across with an app that supports addition of own's non-English to non-English entry from scratch. Any suggestion?
