Web3j not creating user account(new wallet)?

0

I am using Web3j and Keystore to create a new account in Android(+RxJava):

@Override
public Single<Wallet> createWalletAndReturnWallet(String password) {
return Single.fromCallable(()->{
Account account = keyStore.newAccount(password);
return new Wallet(account.getAddress().getHex());
}).subscribeOn(Schedulers.io());
}

And I run the method from an AndroidInstrumentedTest:

@Test
public void createWalletAndReturnWallet() {
TestObserver<Wallet> testObserver = TestObserver.create();
keyStoreService.createWalletAndReturnWallet("password123").subscribe(testObserver);
testObserver.assertSubscribed();
}

From logging I can see that a new account is never created at all. The method runs but no account is created and added to keystore. I run additional test to check the keystore again and it's completly empty.

Anyone who can help me understand why it acts like this?
