Dummy Output: Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
So I just installed Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and I installed all my drivers and everything. But when I try to use audio, It says dummy output. This has happened to my laptop since I installed ubuntu. Please halp. plz...
Thanks
BTW: I am new to ubuntu. I looked at recent audio problem fixes, and I tried this all ready pulseaudio --kill; sleep 2s; sudo alsa force-reload ; pulseaudio --start
yet it did not work. Thanks again.

Is your laptop perhaps a very new model that may not have drivers for it yet?

i got my chromebook to fully run ubuntu and not chrome os, and there is a site where it has all the driver downloads. So I used wine to run it becuase, you have to have windows in order to install these drivers. I use wine installer if your wondering. btw chrome os is competely gone.
