How to send notification to user before login
I have a bash script, which needs to be executed at first-time boot, it will make the system reboot.
For now, this script is added into rc.local
by me so that it will be execute at boot.
However, this gonna invoke a problem: user doesn't know about this script, so when he starts the system first time, he will first login and get a terminal, and in several seconds, the system will reboot.
So it there a way to notify user about reboot? Is it possible to do the reboot before user gets the terminal?
login reboot notification autostart

You can (and maybe should) use a systemd service unit to do stuff before the login prompt appears. Maybe this Q&A could help you getting started.
