18.04 scanner connect fails
ubuntu 18.04 lsusb command shows devise 003 Seiko Epson corp. GT -X770[Perfection V500]. I installed iscan-gt-x770-bundle-1.0.1.x64.deb in this order; core, data, plug-ins using "open with software install" command. The software is recognized by Classic Menu Indicator; however, when I click on it I get a dialog saying "could not send command to scanner. check scanner status."
What can I do to make a connection?
