Laptop not going to sleep when shut

For some reason, whenever I shut my laptop it only sometimes goes to sleep and other times it will go to sleep for a second then turn back on. Specs below



Intel Core i5-5250U CPU @ 1.6 GHz

Memory: 8 GB of RAM

Kernal Version: 4.15.0-38

Using kubuntu desktop (But happens on both kubuntu and regular ubuntu desktop environment)

Macbook Air early 2015

I think I'm fairly happy with the spacing around "A chapter", so I'd really like titles without descenders (e.g. "Contents") to have the same vertical spacing as "A chapter" below the title.
