How to add user to Ubuntu Phone?
Normally I would just do:
sudo adduser anewuser
and then provide the initial password.
However in Ubuntu Phone I get:
passwd: Authentication token manipulation error
passwd: password unchanged
What can I do?
ubuntu-touch

Click the "Settings" software. Find "Details" tab and click it. After that, click "Users" . On the top right click "Unlock" and type your password in the popup window. After that the "Unlock" button will be replaced by "Add User..." button. Click it. You are almost ready. Just enter your full name, username, password and account type (standard, administrator) and click "Add" . After that you are ready.
If you want do delete it, there is a button "Remove User..." . Before clicking it, select the user, that you want to delete. "Unlock" again, type your password, click "Remove User..." and type your password again.
If you want to change something, click "Unlock" , type your password and change that something.
I am currently using Ubuntu 18.10 , but is the same as the almost all other Ubuntu software. At phone it must be the same, depending on your Ubuntu version.
This can be done without "Terminal" , only with "Settings" . "Settings" can be "Unity Settings" , "Gnome Settings" , "Mate settings" and etc. , depending on your Ubuntu version (some of them support Unity, other Gnome, other Mate and much more).
