Unable to stop Mysql server in Netbeans
I have the Mysql version 14.14 Distribution 5.7.25 for Linux (x86_64) using editline wrapper
And Apache Netbeans 1.10. installed.
I can connect to Mysql database, create and delete tables apart from starting Mysql and running the admin tool [phpmyadmin] so it is working perfectly. But however I am not able stop Mysql server from Netbeans.
The official installation setting as recommended by Netbeans and Mysql is not working in my system. Apparently this was an actual bug as reported way back in 2008 [ check here -> https://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=147989 ]
My settings in the admin properties panel :
Path to stop command : /usr/bin/mysqladmin
Arguments. : -u root stop
And this the what I see in debug console :
sed: -e expression #1, char 10: unknown option to `s`
/usr/bin/mysqld_safe: 152: /usr/bin/mysqld_safe: cannot create /var/log/mysql/error.log: Permission denied`
2019-01-26T06:56:21.263489Z mysqld_safe Directory '/var/run/mysqld' for UNIX socket file don't exists.
/usr/bin/mysqld_safe: 152: /usr/bin/mysqld_safe: cannot create /var/log/mysql/error.log: Permission deniedsed
The given commands work perfectly fine from terminal after giving the root password.
The problem I guess is how to pass those arguments in Netbeans with root privilege.
mysql settings netbeans
