localStorage & vuex-persistedstate doesn't persist items saved on page refresh
I have a vue
application authenticating with laravel
using jwt
.
I need to persist states during page refreshes.
function setAxiosHeaders(){
let user = getLocalUser()
if (user && user.token){
axios.defaults.headers.common = {
'Accept': 'application/json',
'Authorization': `Bearer ${user.token}`
}
}
return user
}
[...]
// during store init
const user = setAxiosHeaders()
store.commit('auth/user', user)
[...]
// during login action
loginSuccess(state, payload){
state.loading = false
state.authError = null
state.isLoggedIn = true
payload.user.token = payload.access_token
state.user = payload.user
localStorage.setItem('user', JSON.stringify(state.user))
},
[...]
So, basically, after the 2nd refresh, the state is lost and the user item inside the localStorage
is null.
What do I miss?

You should always commit to the store. You can define an initial state of the store though. But after that you should change the store only by commiting a mutation. This could cause your problems. Vuex might lose its reactivity if change the data directly. And by the wayfunciton
