texmaker fast insert a nxm matrix

0

I'm looking if there exists a fast way to generate arbitrary sized matrices, I'm thinking of the user defined tags that are possible with texmaker. The idea is to also include placeholders that would make them easier and faster to fill.

So, for instance, I can define a tag to create 3x3 matrices, activated with the command:

:mat3x3 ->

which would print

begin{matrix}
@ & @ & @ \
@ & @ & @ \
@ & @ & @
end{matrix}

where, for those familiar with user defined tags, the @'s become the placeholders.

The question is, if there is a way to define a tag (or similar), that given certain input values (for instance rows and columns) would print the respective matrix.
