Installed Ubuntu 18.04 On Chromebook, Audio Marked “Dummy Output”
I can believe this issue was asked multiple times across this site, especially with the 6 questions that I've come across with people having the same issue... Sadly all solutions provided including the solution on the sound troubleshooting procedure page on the ubuntu wiki didn't work.
Throughout all the commands I've tried, configurations and even different audio devices (Bluetooth is the only output I can get audio from) provided no benefit or difference.
When trying the solution under "Sound Troubleshooting procedure" on the Wiki, Step 3, I've ran into an issue where apparently it's unable to locate package "linux-image-extra-uname -r".
I have attempted reinstalling Pulseaudio and alsamixer, then booting pulse audio and alsamixer. Pulseaudio gives a bunch of errors like this; https://i.imgur.com/bhqAGhy.png and just above that image, apparently alsamixer gives the error "Cannot open mixer: no such file or directory"
What options do I have here? Sorry if this is a awful question to ask, or if this is wrong to type, etc, but I'm at a loss here. I'm wanting to see if I could get solutions that may just be a problem for me.
Edit: Bluetooth audio suddenly stopped working, there's absolutely no output.
Also, I forgot to add my chromebook's model just incase

What commands did you try? This may be helpful - askubuntu.com/questions/1031046/… (you mention 6 other questions which means nothing to use unless you provide them) Is your audio hardware recognized ie. providing the commandsudo lshw -C soundand it's output helps us to help you.

Oh sorry, I'll keep that in mind and fix that up now. I uh... Don't really know how formatting works on this site so... Bare with me, I'm extremely new to this especially since I've never really had to ask a question here before. Also, the history command only outputted what I did from when my laptop left sleep mode it seems. Within the window that appeared... I went to Configuration, it is set to off but all the profiles are "Digital Surround #.# (HDMI) Output (unplugged)". Selecting any of the profiles there provide no effect.
