I know this similar problem came up earlier on a different ASUS model. I was thinking there should be an internal or software solution, as my microphone worked when I had Windows 10 installed. I didn't like Windows 10, so I installed Ubuntu.

Since this is the case, is there a way to get Ubuntu to work with my audio jack to recognize when a microphone is plugged in, instead of purchasing an audiosplitter? Thank you.
