Help me with Flatpak and other options of installing programs
.everyoneloves__top-leaderboard:empty,.everyoneloves__mid-leaderboard:empty,.everyoneloves__bot-mid-leaderboard:empty{ margin-bottom:0;

Flatpak requires different runtime packages to run the software which has been installed through flatpak, for example Blender requires freedesktop runtime, GIMP requires gnome runtime, Krita requires KDE runtime, i would probably not have a issue with having those once so for other different packages i wouldn't have to install those again on the bright side of using flatpak long term but is it really worth it to have those in my pc instead of downloading from the official repos, maybe appimage or even snap?
I just want a organized way of having my apps, so i don't get to have some unnecessary packages floating around in my pc, official repos seem to lag behind for the Ubuntu LTS versions and appimage seems wierd, snap i am not sure about.

You can have up-to-date versions of many apps by adding the relevant "PPA" to your software sources (see here for Gimp, for instance).

The question is not clear: Are you asking how to use Flatpack? Are you asking why LTS software is year(s) old? Are you asking for some kind of opinions on AppImage or Snap? What answers are you looking for?
