My Microphone is not making sound anymore on Ubuntu 16.04

Neither my built-in mic or my USB mic are working now. I have enabled them in all browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Vivaldi), have made sure volume on pavucontrol and alsamixer are to the max, have made sure nothing is muted, have enabled flash player when needed on websites, but still my mic is not working. Can someone please help?



I am connecting a mic via USB to my device using QJackCtl. My webcam is working fine. My mic used to be working. I have attached relevant screenshots.

          Title Spacing in Bjornstrup Chapter, Removing Chapter Number From Contents

I think I'm fairly happy with the spacing around "A chapter", so I'd really like titles without descenders (e.g. "Contents") to have the same vertical spacing as "A chapter" below the title. I would also like to remove the large "0" in the contents title.
