System sounds, Spotify, nor the browser produce sound in headphones or through built in speakers.

$ sudo lspci -v

produces:

GPU: Intel Device 3ea0

I have done some troubleshooting using this Ubuntu help page:
https://help.ubuntu.com/stable/ubuntu-help/sound-nosound.html.en

I assume this is a driver problem but I don't know what to do because 18.10 recognizes the hardware it seems.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
