using readline library in CoffeeScript

0

I have what I'm sure is an easy question that I can't quite figure out as newcomer to CoffeeScript/Javascript. Trying to make a console app in CoffeeScript (showing my kid how to program, I work in python/c++) just to show him basic logic. Am a little stuck on the following

class Game

constructor: (@player1, @player2) ->
@board = (' ' for [1..9])
@turn = 'X'

readline = require('readline')
rl = readline.createInterface({
input: process.stdin,
output: process.stdout,
})
game = new Game("Pete", "Kaya")
rl.question("#{game.turn}'s turn. Pick a square (1-9)", (answer) -> rl.write "picked #{answer}")
rl.write "interrupting cow!"

Seems like I'm missing something very basic that this returns

$ coffee game.coffee
X's turn. Pick a square (1-9)interrupting cow!3
picked interrupting cow!3
