Ubuntu 18.04.1 - Closing lid / Suspend brings Samsung Chromebook plus to corrupted boot state

0

I have a Samsung Chromebook Plus that keeps shutting down when the chromebook lid is shut or the chromebook is put on suspend. I generally have to restart in chromeOS and reset the legacy boot each time. Shutting down or resetting in ubuntu works just fine.

I have tried applying some potential solutions but none of them work. If anyone has any ideas on a fix I'd appreciate it, thank you!
