Chrome Browser On Ubuntu 18.04 LTS [on hold]

I've recently moved from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS to 18.04 LTS (64-bit). With the new version, Chrome isn't provided by default (there must be a solid reason for that). Though, Chrome gave better performance than Firefox in 12.04, and also some of extensions/add-ons worked better than in Firefox. I'm very much tempted to install Chrome.
But before that, I want to know if its not a bad idea!
Thanks.

1: Even at the time of 12.04, Chrome wasn't provided by default. 2: Whether installing Chrome is a good idea or not is subjective. See askubuntu.com/help/dont-ask for more.

There are Google Chrome and Chromium (the FOSS version which lacks some proprietary modifications and plug-ins). Chromium is still in the archive, and you can install it from the software center easily. Google Chrome is proprietary and you need to get it from Google, and always needed to.
