Error While creating directory (there was an error while creating directory)

When I'm trying to copy/create a folder to the NTFS(Dual boot with windows 10) drive it says

Error While creating directory NEWFOLDER.
there was an error while creating directory in /media/username/Folder
Show more details
Error creating directory /media/username/Folder/NEWFOLDER: No such file or directory

It's not a rw problem because I can modify files. I'm facing problems with folders only.
and maybe I'm facing this problem after upgrading to 18.10.

It looks the parent directory doesn't exist, so the child directory can't be created. Could you try to use mkdir -p /media/username/Folder/NEWFOLDER?

  • it's saying No such file or directory but still I can access them with cd. but whenever applying mkdir it's saying mkdir: cannot create directory 'nn': no such file or directory. with -p it's saying the same thing.
